About The Role

We are looking for a part time Solicitor to join the Property team. This is a part time role based in our Head Office in Galway on a busy team working on an expanding property portfolio, covering our properties in the UK and Ireland.  There is some flexibility to agree specific hours, within our normal office hours.  The role can be streamlined to suit the skills of the successful candidate. 
Hours: Flexible with a minimum of 20 hours per week
Salary: Negotiable (commensurate with skills and experience) pro rata based on the agreed hours.

Responsibilities

General assistance to the Property Team. For example:

• Legal work, conveyancing documents for new stores.
• Lease Renewals and regears
• Reviewing existing legal documents to enable resolution of various property issues
• Handling ongoing or major dispute issues with Landlords
• Proactively being aware of planning permissions or proposed road changes in the vicinity of our stores
• Checking rights and obligations in legal documents
• Challenging service charge costs
• Managing compliance paperwork
• The role will involve non-legal general administrative assistance to the property team

The Ideal Candidate

• Able to work on their own initiative without being micromanaged
• Conscientious, discreet and willing to protect confidential information
• Possess basic computer skills 
• Have experience of negotiating and liaising with others by phone and face to face
• Current Practising Certificate is not a requirement
