About the Role

Smyths Toys is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Multimedia Content Creator to join our in-house Design Team. Your mission is to bring our massive range of products to life through high-impact video, professional photography, and trend-setting social media content.

• This role is located in our Head Office in Galway
• Starting Salary: €40,000

Responsibilities

• Video Production (End-to-End):

  • Lead the full production cycle: ideation, storyboarding, scripting, filming, and post-production.

  • Create high-energy "Hero" videos for the website and social platforms (Youtube, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube shorts, Facebook, Instagram) 

  • Master mobile-first editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or After Effects) to ensure high retention and engagement.

• Photography & Visual Assets:

  • Conduct high-quality product photography sessions in-studio and on-location.

  • Edit and retouch imagery for use on our global E-commerce sites, social media channels and print catalogue. 

  • Source props and manage set styling to ensure every toy looks its best.

• Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with the wider marketing and buying teams to ensure all content aligns with broader campaign goals.

• Maintain brand consistency across all materials.

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience behind the camera, with a proven track record of shooting both professional video and product photography.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom) and mobile editing tools.

• You thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Strong organisational and time management skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot.

• Flexibility to travel for on-location shoots, with a full, clean driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• A portfolio showcasing relevant work.
