About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Representative (Fraud Prevention) to join our team at our Head Office, Galway.  If you have a passion for problem solving, analysing data and a keen eye for detail, then Smyths Toys could be for you!

Our headquarters in Galway has over 200 employees, with additional offices in Lille and Cologne. We operate 300+ physical retail stores in Ireland, the UK, Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands, together with a substantial online business in each country.

• Initial Contract Type: Full time - Temporary Fixed Term
• 37.5 hours per week
• Salary: €28,665 per year

Responsibilities:

• Review and assess customer orders using our fraud prevention systems.
• Identify and prevent fraudulent transactions by making informed approval or cancellation decisions.
• Investigate suspicious activity and analyse trends to identify emerging fraud patterns.
• Communicate fraud trends and insights to the wider Customer Service team.
• Maintain accurate records of investigations and decisions.
• Meet or exceed productivity and quality targets while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
