  • This role is located at our Head Office in Galway.

  • Salary €40,000 - €45,000

  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities/Duties:

This role will provide support to our EU/UK PSQC (Product Safety Quality & Compliance) team, including supporting quality documentation activities, and ensuring compliance within our Quality management system across the entire organisation. It will also support other departments, including the buyers in terms of product improvements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provides team support for all quality, product safety and product compliance activities.
  • Supports auditing of quality system, including but not limited to, processes, system tools, suppliers etc.
  • Support QA programs in assuring compliance to the pertinent regulation.
  • Ensure effective closure on Quality System documents (Audit Actions, Processes, NCR's, CAPA's, etc.).
  • Work with team leader to develop and implement strategic Goals & Objectives.
  • Maintains and develops risk management lifecycle.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement and understanding of measurement systems used on-site, driving down variance in test methodology.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities using analytical framework.
  • Apply creative problem-solving approach using statistical tools and techniques.
  • Identify potential supplier risks to avoid any disruption to supply chain and report to senior management on all activities/actions taken.

The ideal candidate will have:

Essential:
• Qualification in Quality Assurance/ Quality engineering or in Science.
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of process excellence / QE tools such as AQL, auditing, product inspection, FMEA, statistical analysis, SPC.
• Working knowledge of risk management documentation
• Ability to work on own initiative and a part of a team.

Desirable:
• Degree Qualification in Quality Assurance/ Quality engineering or in science.
• Excellent Microsoft Office suite experience. Beneficial to also have, experience in SAP, advanced excel for trend analysis etc.
• Good presentation skills.
• Regulatory & technical standards knowledge (General Product safety directive, Toy safety directive, REACH, ROHS, etc)
• Additional language (German, French, Dutch, Chinese, etc).
